Alroy handles meat and pastas at JAM, a private dining trio that does good food with a twist. He started cooking as a teenager because he wanted to recreate the food he enjoyed at restaurants, without touching his shoestring allowance. What started as a necessity soon became a passion, and he started creating dishes and fashioning multi course dinners for appreciative relatives and friends.
He also worked for a few months at Simply Bread before starting university, where he picked up the invaluable skill of making sandwiches non stop for hours at a time. Alroy's approach to cooking is simplicity and great flavours, and he hopes to share this approach in his classes.
